Panonoramio's januar konkurrence blev en stor succec for mine 5 billeder tilmeldt i kategorien "Unusual Location".

Fire in the glowing red sunset in the South Atlantic Ocean.

Sunrise in Antarctica. The scenic Lemaire Channel between Booth Island and the Antarctic Peninsula is glowing with golden orange colors in the early morning light. This narrow strait is considered one of the highlights in any cruise going to Antarctica.

First prize in Panoramio's geotagged photo Contest in category 4: Unusual location in january 2009. The beautiful Lemaire Channel between Booth Island and Antarctic Peninsula.

Adelie penguin colony at Shingle Cove, Coronation Island, South Orkney Islands, Antarctica. The mud in the colony documents that global warming hit Antarctica too.

Jeg forstår ikke helt den rating, som billederne har fået - eller ikke fået. Kun vinner-billedet er med i Google Image Search - Hvorfor er de andre ikke med?

Første præmie i Panoramio's januar 2009 - Geotagged Foto Konkurrence - Usædvanlige Steder

Den sydlige del af den snævre og smukke Lemaire Channel mellem den Antarktiske Peninsula og Booth Island på Antarktis.

En meget stor tak til alle som stemte på billedet.

Jeg ved ikke hvor mange som stemte på det - Det ved kun Panoramio, men
det blev set ca 6500 gange og 844 Panoramio brugere skrev en note billedet i den måned, som konkurrencen varede. Tusind tak.
